King Umberto had brought the delicious taste of Italy to the corner of Hempstead Turnpike and Meacham Avenue since 1976. In addition to having a warm atmosphere we carry an extensive wine list, that consists of over 350 wines, with years vertical, and is recognized by Wine Spectator Magazine with an award of excellence in 2010. Uva Rossa means 'red grape' in Italian. This wine bar specializes in wine and small, shareable plates with a varied selection of cheeses, bruschettas and pizza. In addition to full portion dining and our daily blackboard specials. Italian born chef/owner Antonio Bove creates outstanding Northern and Southern Italian dishes with a twist! Featuring recipes from his childhood.
