Thank you for visiting Kenichi Izakaya Carbondale. An Izakaya is a type of informal Japanese pub. At sake breweries during the late 18th century, people in Japan began using sake kegs as stools, and snacks were served. This small plate menu was designed to encourage sharing amongst friends and family. Food is prepared in multiple kitchens and arrives as it is ready to ensure freshness. We make most of our menu in-house, from scratch, and use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.If no reservations are available, please note that we do have walk in apcae at our bar and sushi bar. I just want to give a huge shoutout to the amazing team at IZAKAYA for an unforgettable experience. The service was absolutely top notch so attentive and welcoming and the food? Out of this world! Every bite was packed with incredible flavors that totally blew us away. From the presentation to the vibe of the place, you can tell there’s so much heart and passion behind it all. Fabulous everything. Service was super attentive and excellent. Every item ordered was cooked to perfection. Sushi is outstanding. Steaks are done just right and full of flavor. Would visit here every time we are back in Aspen. This should be a go to whenever visiting Aspen.
