The minute you walk into Poseidon, you’ll be swept by the fabulous view. You couldn’t be closer to the sand and the beach than sitting at Poseidon on their beautiful outdoor patio. With such a spectacular ocean view, you’ll experience breathtaking sunsets and during the right season even catch a glimpse of the whales migrating up or down the coast. The bar offers a large circular firepit, which is nice on those chilly fall or winter nights. Off to the side of the bar is a split level dining room offering every table a panoramic view of the beach and the ocean. Beeside Balcony is a hidden gem in old Del Mar, CA with a relaxed seaside chic décor where guests enjoy global mediterranean cuisine and ocean views from the covered outside balcony. A third generation chef of Spanish and Italian descent, and hailing form Paris, France, Christophe's restaurant career began at 17 in the kitchen of his father's restaurant in Pasadena when they first emigrated to the USA.     It was a great evening celebrating our anniversary. A big thank you to staff that came over to wish us many more. As we walked in, greeted with such warmth from Jacky, David, Lupita, William, Oscar, Claudia, our server, James (Mgr), and also a big thank you to Jessie (valet), always so attentive (before we even asked, our car was already out front running waiting for us. Couldn't ask for better customer care from everyone at Poseidon. You are what makes this place great!!!

    Megan our Server - lovgly personality, perfectly attentive without being smothering. My shrimp mole - maybe the BEST taste of ANYTHING I have VER had! Pomegranate martini was tasty & just potent enough. Excellent experience all the way around! A++

    A group of colleagues and I came to Beeside for a business lunch because it is one of our favorite spots in San Diego. We were seated right away on the balcony which was a bit breezy however we were brought a portable heat lamp plus we had an overhead heat lamp that was built in. The portable heat lamp went out and we asked several times if we could get a new heat lamp since it was chilly. The server was very nice but I think she got distracted so we never got the new heat lamp. Other than that, the service was excellent and the food was outstanding, as usual. We love Beeside. Thanks for a great meal!
