Amuse is a seasonal, farm to table driven restaurant, located on the third floor of the museum. Whether you are dining in our main dining room, full-service bar, or our private dining room, you will be able to take in sweeping views of the Robins Sculpture Garden and the museum’s Cochrane Atrium. Our team works diligently to provide a menu that is directly inspired by the art-filled surroundings, current exhibitions, and seasonality while also carefully selecting only the finest ingredients from local vendors, artisans, and farmers. Just a friendly reminder that the museum does not allow balloons, confetti, glitter, plants potted with soil, and candles with open flames. If a date and time you seek for a reservation appears to be full, please give us a call so we can see what other times might be available.

Welcome to Floris at VMFA!~ We've expanded our menu to offer a la carte offerings each day from 2:30 - 4:00pm, no reservations needed~Our high tea menu and tea service is offered daily from 11:30 am - 2:30pm priced at $55 per guest, not inclusive of tax and service. We kindly require each guest's participation.Floris invites you to immerse yourself in a culturally enriching tearoom experience at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the Robins Sculpture Garden, Floris is a community gathering space located in VMFA’s Pauley Center. Take a mid-day escape and indulge in delightful pleasures for the palate, including expertly crafted blends from guest tea makers. Chef Chainey Kuykendall’s use of fresh ingredients from local vendors and importers further enhances Floris’s celebration of cultures and community.Reservations for our high tea are encouraged, as seating is limited. Can Can is a French brasserie and bakery in Cary Court Shopping Center. With seating for over 140 in the main dining room, an Art Nouveau inspired private dining room that seats up to 60 guests or over 100 for cocktails, and a full-service bakery and pastry kitchen supplying all of its breads, pastries, and desserts, the restaurant’s versatility should provide the area an array of options and events.     This place was bumping! Everything was exceptional…a little loud, but to be expected as busy as the place is. My only issue was my mussels were on the cool side… as though they were probably done before my wife’s meal & sat in the pick-up window for a few minutes before coming to the table. They were still delicious, just not hot. The service was perfect. Our table super nice. Staff was friendly & had a sense of urgency, yet calm. My wife will go back again & again!

    As always dinner at Amuse was absolutely delicious. My sister & I shared the Fried Oyster appetizer & we ordered the Scallops & the Mushroom Cassoulet. The appetizer was flavorful & cooked perfectly. The entrees were both a wonderful combination of complimentary flavors. The ambience was pretty quiet for a Thursday evening & the service was courteous & welcoming. As always it is a pleasure to dine at Amuse.

    We enjoyed our meal though the food was not outstanding. Our dinner group was. It was a little complicated because the restaurant closed to set up for dinner and it was still very crowded. Stella's is not the place for a quiet, relaxing meal, even at 2:30 in the afternoon.

    We had a bottle of sparkling Cremaint. It was incredible. Our server, Alex, was right there and recommended teas for us. It was an event for the Yoga Wine Club from Williamsburg. We will go again. Thank the VMFA for this tea room. It also was a history note being in the building for Confederate Women. Very interesting.
