Nestled on the waterfront in Irvington, New York, Red Hat on the River is an American modern bistro serving satisfied diners since 2003. There's hardly a seat in the house that does not offer a spectacular view of the Hudson river. Banquettes and a pewter bar accent the space while the walls of this 100-year old renovated factory building are adorned with WPA-era art evoking a feeling of a turn of the century Parisian bistro. Evolving from a humble bistro on main street to a bustling restaurant on the river with a rooftop bar, Red Hat's commitment to providing the very best experience for their guests has always remained the same. Try the classic menu standards of steak frites, moules frites, country terrine, and the Red Hat burger. Seasonal salads, sandwiches, and seafood entrees round out the menu.     everything was great. definitely will return especially in the summer DJ is big plus to the place. I just wish he reads the crowd better and play music to keep place more alive and keep people dancing. Its a Greek /Mediterranean place. I wish he played more greek energetic music.

    My three friends and I came for lunch and to celebrate the holidays. A lovely restaurant, modern, beautifully decorated. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was gracious, helpful and attentive. The food was delicious. And they have a lunch prix fixe! Will definitely be returning!

    The food was amazing, fresh salads, steaks done to perfection! The service was also incredibly attentive and friendly. Unfortunately there was a very loud and rowdy party going on that permeated the ambience. We couldn't even hear ourselves talk. Would highly recommend this restaurant otherwise.

    Always a great experience when I eat at Red Hat!! Whether its sitting outside during the summer or celebrating with friends at our annual holiday dinner - we have had our friends holiday dinner at Red Hat every year...and it is our place. The food is great, it is so very beautiful, and the service is on point!!

    We were greeted by the warm and friendly staff, setting the tone for a great dining experience. For dinner we had a wonderful bottle of white wine and enjoyed the tender and flavorful octopus meze, followed by the fresh branzino fish with a classic greek salad. The food was authentic and we highly recommend.
