Utter Waffle - a gem within the South London brunch scene! We opened our Herne Hill restaurant in 2021, and since have become an institution in Herne Hill's small but awesome food scene. Since our launch, we've collected a small cabinet of trophies and awards, and have even cooked our savoury waffles on Masterchef, Sunday Brunch & Saturday Kitchen!Our busy brunch restaurant serves everything from fried chicken & waffles and our signature avo smash, to bottomless brunch & craft beers. What do you do when you want something done properly – especially when you’re a long way from home and you simply can’t find exactly what you’re looking for? Well, the tried and tested answer, of course, is to do it yourself – and that is exactly what Giuseppe, founder of Sapore Vero did, when he created our first Pizzeria in Beckenham, South East London – now entering its 11th year of trade – and then opened a 2nd in nearby Hither Green in 2019. After moving to London (quite some years ago now!), Giuseppe quickly found himself becoming frustrated with a lack of truly authentic Italian pizza, “that I liked”, as he puts it, produced using the methods that he grew up with, like generations before him, in his native Calabria, Southern Italy.

A grand old dame of a pub in the centre of Herne Hill and opposite Brockwell Park. In the front, we are large, light and airy around our central island bar. Out the back, we have our large decked garden, with some shade. To eat, we serve traditional pub food with a modern approach. We go for product quality over marketing for our draught and bottled beer collection and have a range of rotating ales. Trinity reopened in October 2015 with the same ethos, culture and team whilst recreating a new and refreshing backdrop - retaining its sophistication and remaining a restaurant of significance in Clapham. An alfresco dining area accommodates 16 guests, the dining room seating 40 guests that now have a clear view into an open plan kitchen with banquette seating surrounded by the soft hues of jade green and dusty heather pink. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Highly recommend this lovely pub on Lordship Lane. We went for a little pre-Christmas catch up and the decorations were beautiful.
