The Oaks Restaurant and Tavern at the Sugar Hill Inn is a romantic getaway known for culinary adventure. Over the years I have traveled extensively throughout Italy in search of new ideas, recipes, and great wines to bring back to Three Tomatoes. The source of inspiration continues to be the simple, fresh, healthy and local foods of Trattoria style cooking. Eating in a Trattoria in Italy is like eating with an Italian family. The mood can be relaxed or boisterous, but always friendly. It is a home away from home and a gathering place for friends. I have tried to capture the warmth of the trattoria kitchen with its open fire, the aroma of simmering sauces, roasted meats, grilled fish and pizza baking in our custom built wood fired oven. Our newly revised wine list has been enhanced by selections of distinction and value inspired by attending Vinitaly, Slow Food's Terra Madre and visiting vineyards throughout Italy, Sicily and Sardinia. Three Tomatoes has captured some of the spirit that makes wine, food, and conviviality such an important part of trattoria life.

    I recently discovered a true local gem and couldn't be more impressed! The variety of food choices was remarkable, offering everything from fresh, vibrant salads to hearty, comforting dishes. I had the Rosemary Chice and my husband the Chicken Saltimboca. So delicious! The atmosphere was equally inviting, with warm lighting and charming decor that made it an enjoyable place to relax and dine. Not to mention, the value for the quality of food and service was outstanding. Our server provided top-notch service that made my experience even more special. I highly recommend visiting this spot for a delightful meal!

    First visit to the Inn was very nice. The quality of food and presentation were both good - checking it out for another visit during the Holidays. It was a Wednesday eve, so a calm & quiet dinner. Quaint, tiny Bar area and a cozy dining room with a fireplace. New (ish) Chef, still needs to iron out some kitchen details. Undercooked (raw) vegetables, but steak was a perfect MR. Mashed potatoes were pretty amazing, both buttery and lumpy (the way we love them!!) The 2 best reasons to return - 1. Very accessible, right off of 93 N exit 40 2. Our Host & server Haley, was a charm!

    WelLoved the place. Very quant with old-time character. My wife, daughter and I sat in the bar area by the fire and had drinks. Chris, the bartender was great. He had me taste a few scotches and he was friendly and helpful. It was very quiet and Chris was also our server. Dinner was very good and we had a quiet dinner with Chris being very attentive. We will go back and book a stay there next year.
