Helmed by Executive Chef Bob Ryan, Little Sparrow is a neighborhood "continental" restaurant from Ford Fry. Inspired by Parisian bistros and Brooklyn’s favorite taverns, Little Sparrow picks up the mantle from its beloved predecessor, JCT Kitchen and Bar to serve the Westside in a new incarnation. Named in honor of superstar French chanteuse Edith Piaf (Fry’s Howell Mill Road steakhouse, Marcel, is named after Piaf’s lover, boxer Marcel Cerdan) the menu presents timeless Brasserie classics and simple, indulgent fare including an entire section dedicated to extraordinary "Frites." Cooks & Soldiers brings the cuisine and cultural experience of Spain’s Basque region to the flourishing West Midtown area. The menu is divided into “pintxos tradicionales,” or tapas-like snacks served atop toasted bread; “pinxtos especiales,” or Basque-inspired small plates; “asador” including a variety of wood-grilled fish, meats and vegetables; and a selection of unique and modern desserts.     Everything was superb from the service to the cocktails to the bread to the main meal to the amazing desserts!! My only concern was the noise level. Beyond that everything was wonderful.

    My party of 3 had an incredible date night. As always, Jo provided phenomenal service, and the food was equally stellar. All of our favorite people (Deja’ - the GM; Josh - another manager; William - a former manager; and even Chef John surprised us - who knew he had legs 😂😅) were able to make an appearance at our table, which made our dining experience even more dynamic and unforgettable. Of course, we’ll return soon and continue to sing the praises of this fine establishment. In the meantime, prospective diner: Do yourself a favor and dine here. In case you didn’t know, it’s good practice to begin the new year by making smart decisions. Make the smart choice; getaway to Cooks and Soldiers!!! Thank me later! 😉😅
