All reservations are made online at Open Table. The Plumed Horse Restaurant has been a beacon of South Bay fine dining since 1952. We, Hashiri Bettei Kaiseki Aoki, deliver the experience of “kaiseki ryori,” a type of Japanese fine dining which historically developed to be served in the Japanese tea room. The tea room, as a space, symbolizes the home of the Japanese tea ceremony, a simple yet transformative experience offering a pause in time to appreciate the seemingly small experience of sharing tea. As such, we’ve designed both the architecture and the experience, to condense an infinite expanse into an extremely small space.The space is designed sans distracting elements. Lighting will be subtle and architectural details are clean yet warm. Designed to allow dishes to remain the focal point of the experience, our space represents the endless potential for an intimate dining experience that continues to linger on pallet and in mind well after the end.

    It's a good place for birthday celebration; they brought out a complimentary dessert with candles. The food was also very good, the miso cod and the deconstructed apple pie are worth trying. The service was excellent, we didn't like a drink, they were happy to change it for us.

    People pleasing place! Celebrated belated birthdays for two couples here. We all enjoyed the sushi bites, Caesar salad, halibut and two desserts. What a treat eating at Hero after the wine stroll.

    We had to evacuate our house, and because of that we could not make a Thanksgiving dinner. The folks at the Plumed Horse were beyond gracious and made our Thanksgiving, in very trying circumstances, a delightful memory. As always, the food was excellent, service elegant, and the people divine. Thank you all so much for saving our holiday!
