The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee".     We had a wonderful time - the atmosphere and people are fabulous! Our waitress Maggie made the night, carefully advising wine, tea, soup, avocado Caesar( a must share starter) and the amazing crispy trout - the sauce, veges and fish was so scrumptious !!! Last week we tried the scallops risotto ( big wow) to finish our meal we had crème brûlée which had a tinge hint of orange 😊 Ask for Maggie as your server- she’s such a bundle of joy and makes your do ing experience fabulous !

    We had a party of 7, and the service was attentive, and the food delicious. 6 people had steaks, and 1 had the vegetarian option (portobello mushroom). The mushroom portions were a bit small compared to the steak, but that is the only area for improvement to mention. The steak, frites, salad, bread and wine were exceptional. We will definitely go back, to include for large party dinners. Thank you Medium Rare Bethesda!
