Joule, the first restaurant from celebrated husband and wife cooking team Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi, is re-located in October, 2012 to the innovative, newly developed the Fremont Collective in Seattle’s Wallingford/Fremont neighborhood. Umi Sake House is a unique Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle featuring the highest quality seafood available in the Northwest, a large izakaya-style tapas menu, and boasting a sake list of over 60 imported Japanese bottles. Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the food and drinks are superb, so is the view and so is service (for the most part). I almost always order from the special or seasonal menu, and this time was no exception. Winter salad, scallops, special drink and espresso. The ingredients are simple but masterfully prepared. Sometimes difficult to get a reservation, so worth planning ahead. Highly recommend.

A lovely evening and delicious meal all around. Standouts included the short rib steak and Chinese broccoli. Wine list is too locally focused for our tastes, but the cocktails more than made up for it :)
