Opened in May of 2008 "Bud's at Silver Run" invites you to enjoy great dining in a casual, friendly atmosphere. Local resident Blinn Salisbury III and partner Ken Lurie are pleased to become part of the community and to revive this great location. We have searched for the right restaurant and are happy that we have found it in Silver Run. Ken brings more than thirty years of varied restaurant experience with him to Bud's. From learning under Karl Beckley at the Greenlake Grill in Seattle to Food & Beverage Director of the Virgin Grand in the Virgin Islands, Ken is excited to return to Maryland. It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well. Our team has worked hard to connect to our community, and we value our customers. These values have been central to Ellen and Linwood’s vision, and we hope are felt by our customers each day.

    Oh my oh my! Wye Oak Tavern is beyond incredible. The setting is spectacular with the former church altar, statuary and organ pipes along with 30 foot high ceilings I’d guess? Josh, Cody and the bar staff craft incredible cocktails and create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. As for the food and service. Impeccable. Period. We had steak tartare, cheese ravioli, an 18 oz gorgeous ribeye with duck fat fries and brussels!…and pear bread pudding for dessert. Stephanie was great fun while never missing a beat during service and Steve and his wine suggestions were close to perfect. By the way their wine list is an incredible value of some stellar wines at good prices and they managed to curate the list without need of 40 pages. Thank you. Everything you need without a bunch of excess to search through. We will be back soon and grateful we live only an hour away. Oh and the Visitation Hotel is lovely and we enjoyed staying the night. Nice to have a great place in walkable Frederick!

    Wonderful dinner experience at Antrim 1844. From pre-dinner apps and drinks in the drawing rooms to the amazing dinner in the beautiful and historic Smokehouse to drinks in the Pickwick pub everything was delicious and service was great! Ali was a very attentive server, fire stoker and bar tender! Our first time but won’t be our last! Beautiful inn and great restaurant
