Opened in 2017. Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees.     The restaurant had a great vibe, and the food was excellent. All the staff were friendly, and our server, Kevin, was very attentive to our needs regarding food and drinks. We would definitely go back to Alder for sure.

    Incredible!!! Service. Food. Ambiance. Music. Perfection. We didn’t realize there was a time constraint as we were caught up in our convo, and the next table had arrived…so we weren’t able to order the spectacular lemon meringue pie which we were a bit sad about, but then poof! They were so thoughtful and put in a bag for us when we were leaving. That’s the epitome of hospitality. I love it here, the food is perfection. Everything is. Cannot recommend it enough! Wedge salad, tots, chicken, scallops - everything was divine.

    Had such a lovely visit with a group of six for dinner. Our server was wonderful, and delightfully formal in the way that a classic restaurant like this be. The food was all amazing, and everyone left very happy and full. The only note is that food took a while between courses, which might bother some people, but it worked in our favour to catch up with each other and not feel rushed. A really lovely place for a nice holiday dinner, and the ambiance was perfect for this time of year.
