Nestled among the historic buildings surrounding Sonoma's iconic plaza, LaSalette Restaurant has earned its reputation as one of Sonoma Valley's favorite dining destinations since its inception in 1998. Chef Manuel Azevedo's signature Cozinha Nova Portuguesa ("New Portuguese Cuisine") celebrates the diverse and complex flavors of his native Portugal while adapting them to the bounty of top-quality ingredients found in California. The result is a distinctive cuisine that blends familiar Southern European comfort foods, exotic seasonings inspired by Portugal's centuries of global exploration, and fresh, seasonal Californian produce.                                         LaSalette is my favorite restaurant in and around Sonoma. The menu is creative and delicious, the food is very well prepared and the service is excellent. Even their dessert menu is unlike any other in the choices it offers, in the variety and combination of flavors and in its creativity. They also have a very nice outdoor dining area.

                                        The owner and food are amazing!!! The food was authentic Portuguese food. The owner came to our table and introduced himself and spoke to us for a little bit about his restaurant in his food. We LOVE IT!!

                                        My wife and another couple ate here for about the 5th time. We enjoy La Salette both for the food as well as due to our Portuguese heritage. The food is fairly traditional and everything is excellent. We had great weather so sat out in their small patio which is very comfortable. Everything was great from the food to the service. They have several Portuguese wines on their list as well. We will continue to come here.

                                        The food and service were amazing. We had the octopus, the cod cakes, pork w clams and the Valencia and they were all so good and plenty of food. This is a gem tucked into the corner!

                                        Portuguese dining, with traditional recipes. The beef stew was magnificent and the cod stew also very good. Hard to find back in an alley.
