Lavendou, a retreat into the French countryside - a place where life is savored as much as the food. Lavendou is thoroughly French, from the inviting decor to the gracious service and authentic cuisine. But don't expect it to be pretentious. Owner Pascal Cayet is dedicated to providing service that is friendly and efficient. And you will find Chef François Soyez's menu to be deliciously approachable. Serving the lighter fare of Southern France, Lavendou offers many items to tempt your taste buds.

                                                              As always, our dining here is a pleasure. Cocktails are well made. Their soups are wonderful. Husband had French Onion soup. I had the steak frites, my steak was prepared perfectly and the peppercorn sauce is the best. The fries are thin and crispy. Husband had the duck, which is one of their specialties and we agreed it is done to perfection. For dessert, we shared a grand marnier soufflé. Our server, Pierre, was attentive & always a pleasure when we are lucky to be at one of his tables.

                                                              Very busy lunch in Saturday made the venue a bit noisy…lots of chatter. Food and service was good, but not exceptional. Still a very reliable spot for consistently good food especially in the evenings. Will go back.

                                                              A delight every single time. The owner came to our table to say hi, asked us if we liked our table, Kostia took care of us, was super funny and made sure we had a terrific time, which just added to an overall amazing experience. The food was as always par none.

                                                              Our favorite neighborhood restaurant featuring deliciously prepared French dishes with the best service around. We had their special Branzino dinner and the Roast Duck. Appetizers included their house smoked salmon and a goat cheese salad. All the food was fresh, wonderfully presented and delicious. For dessert, we shared a Grand Marnier souffle, the best in Dallas. Lavendou never disappoints.

                                                              From finding to end of meal everything was great. First time there but won’t be our last. Only complaint is how close the tables are to each other.
