   Was there for a client dinner. Service was excellent. I ordered the small filet and it wasn’t loaded with butter etc like the big chain steakhouses do.

   Positives: Friendly, warm service. Started at the host stand and continued with our server, food runners and busser. Apps and sides were good. Wedge salad was a 10. Bread service was a mixed bag. Perfectly whipped and salted butter and slightly stale under-warmed bread. Cocktails were painfully slow to arrive, but well made. Lots of good choices on the wine list. Negatives: All four of us had steaks. Med Rare cook was perfect, but they arrived warm (not hot) on cool, room temperature plates, with a soft sear and under seasoned. It's a steakhouse and this is hard to comprehend or forgive. And we ate early on a Monday with the restaurant maybe 40% full. On a 10pt scale, the meat quality was 7+ but the execution was a 4 at best.

   I wasn't the one that chose this restaurant. Received feedback this morning regarding dinner and the customers did not have a great experience. Their food was cold and the whole ambiance wasn't warming.

   We hadn't been to LB Steak in a little while and we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the service today was very disappointing. We had a 12:15pm reservation and we didn't have our lunch served until 1:40pm. They brought out beverages and never asked if we'd like another one. We had two children with us who were starving by the time the lunch was served. They don't do a bread service anymore, which was one of the fun things about their restaurant. Once we received our food, nobody checked on us again until we stopped a different server to get our bill. Our waiter was also the bartender for the day which didn't help. He had too much to manage. Hopefully they make changes to improve the experience for others. At least their food is good.

   My husband & I were sat at a table, closest to the front door & also pretty much in the bar. My husband felt a cold draft every time the front door to the restaurant was opened, which was often. What put a real damper on our kids free night out was a belligerent man yelling & clicking his finger nails together at the bar. Please leave your tacky behavior at home. I mentioned this to our very kind server & he let us know the man would not be served another drink & our dessert was comped. My husband ordered the Rib Eye, which was chewy & notably the worst steak he has had in a long time. We dined at this restaurant ten years ago & unfortunately will not return.

   We visit here at least 3 times a year. Get the same booth. The food never disappoints. Our server this time was Jose, an amazing guy paying attention to every detail. Great suggestions, helped me to convince my wife to try 35 day aged steak. She loved it. Plenty of $100.00 or less wines and a LOT of BIG names with a Screaming Eagle at $8k....maybe next time lol.
