Le Bar a Boeuf is a Jean-Robert cozy bistro located in the Edgecliff Building 2200 Victory Parkway in Cincinnati’s East Walnut Hills. Featuring French classics, Jean-Robert favorites and daily specials, we pride ourselves in using the freshest, most local ingredients - always staying true to the seasons.

Jean-Robert and Annette's passion has always been the Bistro and their lifestyle, attitude, and dedication to the community.

    Bit of an odd entrance and tucked away location but once inside you feel transported to somewhere in Europe. Service was exceptional. Duck breast was actually almost slightly undercooked and therefore challenging to cut. Egg with caviar the egg overpowered the caviar but otherwise delicious. The sweetbreads and seared foie gras were on point as was the Bourbon Gelato *chefs kiss Again, if you appreciate service and reasonable prices for good food and big servings in a charming atmosphere this is a GREAT spot. Thanks Le Bar team!

    We had read that Le Bar A Boeuf was revived, but sadly that wasn’t our experience. The onion soup was lukewarm with cheese barely melted. We ordered (expensive) halibut and were told it was fresh from Alaska. It was overcooked and dry. I’m not sure it was really fresh, not frozen. Our server was knowledgeable but stretched thin. We had to flag her down for cocktails. It’s a lovely atmosphere. Wish we could say the same about the food.

    I’ve dined here 4-5 times, and every time it has been great. Last night, however, it was amazing. This time We went a little bit more adventurous, starting with the Sweetbread appetizer…marvelous! My duck breast main dish was cooked to perfection, and unbelievably tasty! My wife got the calf liver, with caramelized onions, which I tasted…and for the first time ever, I really liked liver! The wine list is short, but well thought to pair with the food. Staff were gracious and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place. Expand your horizon!!

    Great server food was good Except lobster salad could’ve had more lobster and jambalaya was not really real jambalaya, but basically the food was good
