Established in the heart of Palm Springs at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains, Le Vallauris has been one of the highest rated restaurants in the Coachella Valley since its inception in 1973. The exquisite cuisine at Le Vallauris is prepared by Executive Chef, Jean-Paul Lair, who has graced the restaurant for over 25 years. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 as a home for the Roberson family, who managed Palm Springs' first hotel, The Desert Inn. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favorite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite, and local socialites.

    Le Vallauris has 2 inside dining rooms for private parties each one with a capacity for up to 50 persons. The Patio can also be used on a "buy out" basis for up to 150 persons and a tree shaded Gazebo is available for up to 100 guests. These facilities are able to use an array of "prix fixe" menus.

                                                      We love dining here. Last night we both had the beef cheeks, which were delicious. The crispy scallops were also good. Thank you Raymond for the recommendation! I had a wonderful crème brûlée for dessert while my husband enjoyed the chocolate pots de crème. Service was excellent. Give. What other restaurants are charging these days, this place is a good value.

                                                      We had a lovely dinner on the beautiful outdoor patio. With the heaters, the temperature was perfect! Food and service were exceptional.

                                                      Food very average and overpriced. Too many servers so confusion over what guests actually ordered or needed. Great ambience in gazebo tho’

                                                      Our meal was excellent, as always! The mushroom soup was amazing - if they have it, get it! The Caesar salad had a lovely spice to it and was crisp and crunchy. The lamb was perfectly cooked, as was the filet. We opted to share the Grand Mariner soufflé and were surprised at how light it was - not always a good thing as a soufflé should have a little bit of weight to it, but it was very good and not grainy at all.

                                                      MARK was our excellent server. Very impeccable and knowledgeable. He enthralled us with the history of the restaurant and of course, his knowledge of the delicious meals. Linda, his table attendant was always smiling and welcoming. Ask for Chef Gabe's puff potato pillows of goodness ... you won't be disappointed!

                                                      This restaurant is truly a treasure and a gift to the Palm Springs area. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere is festive and beautiful.  I pre-organized a birthday dinner with the manager and they were extremely helpful preparing a special cake for our party and pre-ordering the wines. Highly recommend.!!!

                                                      Ain’t what it used to be. Menu boards gone to flimsy paper. Sommelier not familiar with featured French wine. Rack of lamb over cooked. Waiter had no charm. $6 parking fee. Bar would not give change for a $10. Music distracting and too loud. Just not the class it used to be over the forty years we have dined there. Last time!
