Please note when booking: Lunch at Lemaire ends at 2pm. From 2pm-5pm we offer a lounge menu. Full dinner starts at 5pm.

New American restaurant and bar that is inspired by the agricultural and coastal traditions and bounty of Virginia. Lemaire delivers the quality and service The Jefferson Hotel is known for, but in an accessible format without the pretense, formality or expense!

Complimentary self-parking is available in both the Adams Street and Main Street lots. Valet parking is $18/car

For special requests (cake, flowers, etc) guests must contact Lemaire directly.

Tables are held for 15 minutes.

Separate checks are not available for parties of six or more. A 20% gratuity will automatically be applies for parties of six or more.

Table/seating requests are noted but not guaranteed.

            While food was good offering cold bland bread at a high end restaurant was a real turnoff.

            What a wonderful experience at Lemaire. It was our 23rd wedding anniversary. Located inside The historic Jefferson Hotel, it is not only picturesque but full of history and culture. We showed up early to tour the hotel before we were seated. The restaurant’s architecture is stunning, there wasn’t a spot to look that wasn’t beautiful. We sat by a window looking out at the entrance of the hotel with the fountain and the lighted topiaries. Our table was by an air conditioner vent and was chilly, so our server covered the vents for us. When we reserved we stayed it was our anniversary, so our menus had Happy Anniversary on them, and all the staff that cared for us also said happy Anniversary to us. Our server Sean was friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! The price is high, but I feel Like we paid for an experience and not just food. Our phones automatically went on Do Not Disturb mode while we were in restaurant. Which was very cool. One cocktail each, some complementary sourdough with butter, an appetizer to share, two meals and a dessert to share that also had Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. Every bite was delicious. So thankful for this experience.

            My boyfriend and I went to Lemaire for his birthday and the staff was incredibly detail oriented. They brought us custom menus that said Happy Birthday on them and the chef played my boyfriends cheesecake in such a celebratory way, writing happy birthday on the edge of the plate in chocolate. The food was delicious and our server Sean was a gem! We are already talking about going back!

            The Jefferson Hotel was so beautiful as was the restaurant. We had a drink and snack at the bar before being seated. The food was delicious! Once seated, our service was not very good. We barely saw our server throughout most of our meal. We wanted to order some coffee but it was so long before we saw her again that we decided not to bother. It would have been an amazing night had the service been better.

            Best fine dining meal we have had by far in years! Every bite was delicious. Cesar salad, filet, Mac/cheese, broccolini, cheesecake, and chocolate cake. All amazing!!

            Our dinner celebrating my wife's 55th birthday was exceptional. The staff's attention to detail was remarkable, acknowledging her birthday upon arrival and presenting her with personalized menus and a beautiful birthday dessert. The food was delicious, the table location was ideal, and the service was impeccable. The elegant hotel setting and excellent wine selection made the evening truly special. Thank you for creating such a wonderful experience!

            Beautiful old hotel. Did was perfectly prepared ad of Teheran finest quality.. our server, Shawn, was outstanding! Personable, knowledgeable about all dishes, always there at just the right time! What a gem of a selection for a special dinner!
