The Lewnes family has been in the food business since 1921. Lewnes' Steakhouse opened in 1994, specializing in USDA prime beef and exquisite seafood dishes. Lewnes' SteakHouse has been our go to for the last 3 years on New Years Eve as well other days throughout the year. The service, food & drinks are always outstanding. Highly recommend them for an amazing steak dinner or any of their other entrees.

Excellent experience, our waiter Matthew made the dinner even more enjoyable. Perfect meal and drinks to end a horrible 2024. Can't wait to go back

For many years I’ve heard about Lewnes’ Steakhouse, but was never compelled to take the trip to Annapolis. Friends of ours were visiting Annapolis and suggested we try. The worse happening of the night was the realization as to how much I have missed over the past twenty plus years. I am a steak eater from a family of carnivores, having a grandfather who had a butcher shop in the 50s and 60s, who knew how to grill the perfect steak. Black and Blue Pittsburgh and in the coals Kansas City style. Well, Kansas City steaks are no longer prepared in restaurants, but what I had this night was a PERFECT Pittsburgh steak, a feat that very few restaurants can achieve. As I traveled expensively and always booked tables at the cities I visited at the best steakhouses. So from the Metropolitan Grill to St Elmo’s, up north to Mannys, way down south to Knife and of course Peter Lugers Brooklyn, the Old Homestead in Manhattan, down to Shay’s Philadelphia and topping off with perfect Prime Rib at the Prime Rib in Baltimore, I must tell you the in my opinion Lewnes’ outranks many. I had the bone on Filet as my appetite no longer supports my favorite Porterhouse cut and I don’t have a dog. My steak in one word…. Perfection! The baked potato, awesome in size and taste, asparagus steamed just right, all dishes were superb. Our waiter, Matt, reminded me so much of the old time waiters at The Metropolitan Grill and Peter Lugers, and he was the best of best by all standards. In closing, the bartender made a perfect Woodford Old Fashion, so Lewnes’ is my go to and if I’m too lazy to drive, it is well worth an Uber.
