The Lewnes family has been in the food business since 1921. Lewnes' Steakhouse opened in 1994, specializing in USDA prime beef and exquisite seafood dishes. With its high back booths, low-lit ambiance and a waitstaff that is dedicated to first class service, Lewnes' is the premier spot for special occasions or private dining. Food is delicious and well prepared, excellent table service too! Best steak in town! I wish they had more wines by the glass and I wish our table was in another room away from a noisy table of six. Still a great meal and great service!

Everyone told me it was the best and they didn’t lie. I was impressed with everything! Our server Matt was fantastic and every bite of our meal was delightful!

Lewne's Steakhouse always delivers amazing meals with exceptional service. We have eaten at Lewne's on multiple occasions; ordering many different entrees, and have been consistently impressed. If you have the opportunity, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to dinner at Lewne's.

I indicated on Open Table that it was my birthday when I made the reservations and I thought I would get that little cake with the candle as we have gotten in the past, but I did not get it. The sides dishes are average in taste and overpriced.

We took a family friend who is now a Plebe at USNA for a special dinner. It was his first visit, and he was impressed with and enjoyed everything about Lewnes’. We all ordered steaks (2 New Yorks and 1 petite filet mignon) and they were delicious. We also shared a wedge salad (more than enough for two) a baked potato and asparagus. Our waiter was odd but extremely attentive. The bar area was very busy and noisy but our table was quiet for dinner and we were able to converse easily with our Plebe friend (which was a major objective). We used to take our son often when he was a Midshipman and we’ve always had good experiences at Lewnes’…it’s our go-to place for nice dinners in Annapolis. We highly recommend!!!

It was a wonderful night out. The steak was delicious and done perfectly! We found a great red that paired nicely with steak and salmon. The oysters and champagne to start the evening really set the mood. Dessert, a nice tawny port and Sambuca completed our dinner. Looking forward to going back.
