Located at the heart of Hanover Street, Lucia Ristorante is an institution in Boston's North End. Opened in 1977, Lucia was the first restaurant to bring authentic Italian cuisine to Boston's oldest neighborhood. We continue to combine traditional Italian favorites with innovative new dishes in our distinctive atmosphere. Ample summertime patio seating is available in the newly bricked courtyard of our neighbor, St. Stephen's Church.

Went for our 18th wedding anniversary. We’re seated at a tiny table in the middle of the restaurant. Didn’t even have room for my purse which I had to put in the floor. Our dinner came out while we were eating apps again hardly any room. Then didn’t see the waiter again. Never asked us if we needed anything or if we’d like more wine Disappointed

Lucia was very nice, had the tricolor tortellini for two along with the New York sirloin steak with broccoli. Everything was really great. We enjoyed our time dining at Lucia. It was very busy.

Excellent food and experience. Honestly, the fresh pasta and marinara was basically heaven all by itself. The only meh item was the fried cheese app, which came luke warmish, as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Would not order again. Would reorder everything else: house salad, chicken something or other with olives, anchovies, artichokes, asparagus, and sun dried tomatoes; came with a house salad. Nommy bread, good wine list, perfectly reasonable prices, esp considering portions.

What a gem! Food and service were awesome. Such a cute restaurant and it was already decorated for Christmas! Great north end spot for a rainy evening to be warmed up by some red wine and delicious food.

Went for dinner and the service was very slow and the foods was nothing fantastic. Had a reservation and still had to wait for a table. We ordered drinks and apps. The apps came out before our drinks. When dinner arrived it wasn't anything to brag about. The veal parm came out burnt and the pasta was just so so.

Very good spot in the North End for scratch-made Italian dishes and fresh ingredients. Dined on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was only half full, so the service was prompt and the food was prepared very quickly. All of the entrees ordered - a mix of pasta and seafood dishes - came with healthy portion sizes across the board. Only real gripe was that our server didn't offer much when asked for recommendations, which was disappointing since the restaurant wasn't busy, but it was a good experience none the less. Would recommend and visit again.
