                                  Seated in the front room is a bit quieter than the main room. Easier to celebrate our friend”s bd. Great time. Excellent service. Amazing food. Definitely still my favorite spot in town

                                  My husband thoroughly enjoyed the meatloaf! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. A little bit of commotion at the bar (close to our table) but otherwise a perfect experience!

                                  Lucky is always a pleasure to eat and drink at. The staff are genuinely friendly and the quality of the food and drinks is unbeatable. I’ve been going there since the first day they opened and I will continue to as long as they are around.

                                  Chef Jermey providied a marvelous dinner from start to finish. The Akara was a delish way to start our meal and sample a different take on black eyed peas. Both the Smoked Meatloaf anf Chimmeys Whole trout was exceptional presentations and taste. We also enjoyed out cocktails we were LUCKY to visit Lucky!! Plan to do so again as our travels lead us into VA. Don't miss this casual sumptous dining experinece make reservations now!!!

                                  Lucky is our favorite spot in Roanoke for a cozy, comforting dinner or craft cocktail at the lovely bar. The service is warm and homey but also efficient and attentive. There are so many wonderful dishes to choose from, but we love the insanely great fried chicken, low-country shrimp and grits, African peanut stew, sweet potatoes bathed in a kimchi-miso glaze and Brussels sprouts--you see? It's impossible to pick a single favorite. The one dish that didn't wow us was the smoked meatloaf, which had the taste and texture of something like kielbasa. Not bad, but not what I was expecting. The bar can make almost anything you want but it's worth trying the specials. One of my faves, occasionally on the special cocktail menu, is their pitch-perfect Vieux Carré. One other tip: the wine-by-the-glass selections are a little sparse, so we like going with a group that is open to sharing food and ordering a bottle of wine or two.

                                  Everything was great. Minor criticism is to maybe diversify the menu a little more? Fried chicken, meatloaf, steak, and shrimp and grits are all familiar standards.
