Lure is one of our favorite restaurants in NYC. Superb food and excellent service. I’ve never had a meal at Lure that hasn’t met or exceeded my expectations. The wait staff are friendly, helpful and most accommodating.

This place is fabulous and I would not hesitate to both return and recommend it to others. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was really, really enchanting. The decor was exquisite. I'm giving it a slightly mixed review for two simple reasons: 1) The noise level was really loud. Unnecessarily so. And, it was a busy night, so the overall sound was amplified. Given the relatively low ceiling and hard wood surfaces, it made it hard to hear the waiter and my guest who was sitting across from me at a small table. 2) It was a busy night (odd for a Monday) and the waiter was doing his best. But, a couple of times I tried to flag him and he was no where to be found or actively dealing with a far off table. When he did come over, he was very attentive.

Good for a night out. Prices are not overwhelming for manhattan “hip” restaurant but entree portions are small so you need at least one appetizer per person and desert on top of your entree in order to leave not hungry but not full. Top that off with 2 drinks which are typical 20+ each the bill is not cheap. You pay for what you get for here so if your wallet can handle it then definitely dine here.

Good food, service amazing, prices crazy. NOISE unbearable. I have never ever said this but I am surprised the business is allowed to operate those noise levels re: occupational health. We could not hear each other or the waiter. I mean actually could NOT without literally being one inch from each other. I don’t want to chew and scream or be that close to a waiter. WTH! These poor people the: working conditions. Our ears were ringing afterwards - can’t imagine what health impact’s these folks endure. Sure, looks like a ship re: fiberglass ceiling but carpet them -easy fix to take the noise down by 10%. Add sound panels, put in buffers under tables. Remove maybe 10% of the table in the middle ….
