A Wine Spectator award-winning restaurant since 2005 with “Best of“ awards since 2008, Madison's wine list features an extensive wine cellar. Madison’s sommeliers help with selections. Please contact madisonsreservations@oldedwardsinn.com with any inquiries.

All reservations are for inside Madison's only. Seating outdoors in the Wine Garden or Rooftop Terrace is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Custom celebration cakes may be ordered for the table. 24 hours notice is required. Outside cakes may be served for a $35 cakeage fee.

    Lovely warm decor. Comfy seating. Quiet. It did not seem like what most Relais and Chateau establishments would do on food presentation. My pasta bolognese was tasty but there was too much meat and not enough pasta. An imbalance. The server forgot to bring us the roasted mushrooms side dish. Ok. Honest error. They did give me a rose upon leaving. I would come back.

    Our service was exceptional and well timed and planned. We had a birthday to celebrate and staying in the hotel so easy to get a reservations. The food was very good, it’s casual fine dining, so the food is elegant and prepared perfectly.

    Setting & service were great; in house baked items-breads, pastas, and pumpkin desert, tasted at least day old.

    This was our first time at Madison’s. We read about this beautiful and recognized restaurant in Open Table. Since we had planned a trip to Franklin NC, we added Madison’s to our itinerary and we were not disappointed. In is a beautiful place on Main Street in Highlands, NC. The decor and atmosphere was elegant, and the food was fantastic. We highly recommend Madison’s if you are anywhere near Highlands.

    The food was so fresh. The snapper tasted Devine. I thought I was in Italy when I tasted the Bolognese. All of the staff were so professional and pleasant. It was an outstanding dining experience. Thanks!

    We were very excited to dine at Madisons. We arrived a few minutes early and were asked to wait. Three other couples had arrived with the same reservation time. We were all seated in the same dining room. The other three couples had bread and cocktails before we got water. I felt our server was very charming and efficient, however we sat for 25 minutes before we were served any wine. Our food was delicious and tasteful. I had the ny strip and scallops. It came with a squash dish that was out of this world. The steak and scallops were amazing but this squash dish was to die for. My husband had the pork chop with fingerling potatoes. His sauce was apple bacon vinaigrette. I thought he was going to gnaw every spec of meat off of the bone. It was a nice thick chop too. I had a bite and it was pretty amazing. Overall it was a lovely dining experience.
