For more than 20 years, Max Brenner has offered a chocolate experience for all the senses. A visit to our Chocolate Bar and Shop, will entice magical memories in everyone. Because, chocolate, more than any other food, symbolizes our childhood.

The noise was overwhelming, and the poor HVAC system filled the space with smoke and a burnt smell, making the atmosphere uncomfortable. Despite this, the food was tasty, and the desserts, along with the service, were the highlights. However, I wouldn’t return unless these issues are resolved.

Great spot! Food and drinks were delicious and our server Charles was amazing and so funny! First time eating here as we always enjoy the hot chocolate at the other locations.

Had a great time with my first-time-visiting-NYC friend. Although the fire alarm kept on going off and was very loud, the food and the service was great. And chocolate makes everyone super happy 🥰

David, my server was amazing! His assistance was helpful in deciding what to order. He’s just a great person! The only drawback was it was very cold inside but the cup of hot chocolate quickly warmed me up.

We tried this restaurant after enjoying their hot chocolate at Bryant Park, hoping it would be a great spot for our sweet-toothed daughter’s birthday. While the food was decent, the desserts were disappointing. Our daughter ordered the “kids chocolate pancakes with lots of chocolate,” (pic) but it barely had any—just a drizzle of white chocolate. After asking for more, it still didn’t live up to expectations. The waffle cheesesteak was good, and the mac & cheese was flavorful, but the desserts fell short. The chocolate heart cake was an average lava cake, and the sundae arrived melted into a slushy mix. The atmosphere wasn’t what we expected—more Cracker Barrel than Willy Wonka. While it’s a fun novelty, we don’t plan on returning. For us, the desserts didn’t deliver.

The experience was great but it is crucial that servers do not forget to place water and utensils on the table at their first interaction with guests. My boyfriend and I waited for 25 minutes until we got water and it was because we asked for it. Overall it was excellent and the wait time was less than expected.

This resturant is only good for dessert and even that kind of stunk. We waited for our reservation, came a little early, they would not seat us till our reservation time. No problem, there is no where to really wait so we waited by the full overflowing garbage. When we sat, the table was dirty, got water the glasses were filthy, ordered a beer, gave me a glass that was also dirty. Ordered regular food, was ehh, ordered dessert was ok, not even good, our waitor was nice and fine and accommodating, bit all in all you should waist your money somewhere else. Unless you get hot chocolate to go.
