The only lakeside dining in the greater Palm Springs area, Mélange, located in the luxury boutique hotel, the Chateau at Lake La Quinta, offers exquisitely prepared food using only the finest ingredients procured from small California family farms.                                               Ambience is very nice. Food and service just ok. They notified one person in our group that they had run out of her selection when they brought out everyone else’s food and she had to reorder. She should have been notified much sooner than this.

                                              We went for Happy Hour from 3:00 to 5:00. The appetizers were delicious and they offered some unique cocktails. The view of the lake from the patio was beautiful.

                                              The outdoor dining is calming and the lakeside views are so unique to the desert. The black swan floating by was an added magical moment. The delicious food was served while we gazed at the lighted fountain in the center of the lake and felt the warmth of the fire pits. It was just a delightful evening.

                                              This was our first visit in over a year because of a not too good previous experience. We decided to give it another try. The food was very good and the servers very attentive. It’s such a beautiful setting sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. The fire pits were lit and there were plenty of heaters so we were very comfortable. It’s a shame there were only two other tables with guests on a Friday night during season. We did not feel the presence of a manager on duty. The young man sitting at the front desk was more interested in looking at his phone than his job. We will go back.
