The name, Menotomy, pays homage to the Menotomy Indians and the Menotomy Village originally
Settled in 1635. The village was incorporated as the town of Arlington in 1867 following the civil
war as a tribute to Arlington National Cemetery.

Our vision for Menotomy Grill & Tavern is to bring the tavern concept back to the town of Arlington by creating a rustic grill capitalizing on the coziness of a brick house featuring fireplace, open kitchen,
exposed beams, large planked hard wood floors, and historical artifacts and photos. Fostering a
loyal following will be the key to our success, so we welcome you to join us on Facebook for news, special offers and exciting events.

We enjoyed our meal on Valentine's day from entry to exit.. all was great. Considering the day and the high number of reservations the dining room could have been more festive. All in in all a nice experience.

We really enjoyed the short rib dinner. Very tender with lots of gravy, potato croquette, and crispy seasoned green beans. Perfect meal on a cold winter’s evening. The portion was generous and shareable. Our server was so friendly and knowledgable. I always enjoy the excellent food, ambiance, and the varied menu. There used to be live music and I wish they would bring it back.

I am an "out of towner" yet this was my second time visiting this foundational restaurant in my three-week visit here during the holidays. Besides having the hummus and chips appetizer which was extraordinary because the chips were crispy and unique, I had my first opportunity to munch on my cousin's fried pickle! An acquired taste, but I could learn to like it. My salmon entree with steak fries over a bed of Brussels sprouts was more than enough food for two people. My cousin Andy wouldn't share any of his burger it was too good. Karen had the French onion soup and gave it high five's. Beside dinner, I also received a history lesson about the importance of the Menotomy Minuteman and their courage in fighting on the opening day of the Revolutionary War.

It’s our old reliable. Kids, grandparents, everyone finds something to like on their menu. Nothing super fancy but when you want exactly that, it fits the bill. Food tastes good though!

We consider ourselves "regulars" now, and come to have dinner when we're just in the mood to eat out or to celebrate special occasions with friends and family. There is a good variety of dishes with creative touches and ample portions. We live in Cambridge and find the location of Menotomy Tavern to be so convenient. We also are always able to find a parking space in the lot. Most important to us is that the ambience in this large restaurant is cozy and the decor interesting, with local history references. The lounge has a huge L shaped bar. There is a mix of table seating as well as low and high top booths. We have also found the service to be topnotch and friendly. We like to bring friends and family to eat here, especially when they are visiting from out-of-town. Keep up the good work!
