Meridian Restaurant and Bar is located in the Meridian Street Historic District on the north side of Indianapolis. Meridian is a fine dining establishment serving innovative American cuisine. Roman did a great job as our server. Food was delivered quickly and all was tasty. Boar pasta, fried oysters, Brussels sprouts salad, fresh donuts- life is good at Meridian. Little on the noisy side though.

Solid food which I characterize as upscale comfort food. Warm almost rustic feel to dining room.

First off, gorgeous ambience which sold us on booking. Server was nice but clearly overwhelmed and rushed. Then there was the food and drinks. Fairly limited / dated cocktail menu. Oysters were good. Roasted beet dish consisted of cold, gelatinous beets like from a salad bar…Not roasted. Short rib was a $40 serving of pot roast with an enormous amount of cheap tasting gravy that overpowered the delicate coconut risotto. No problem spending $200 for a dinner for two - but not the place I would unless there’s a refresh of the menu.

Consistently excellent service and food. Salmon entree was wonderful, although burger is hard to beat.

Perfect place for a cold winter day! We enjoyed our lunch. Half price bottle of wine on Wednesday was also a great surprise

The Meridian has a neighborhood feel but with class. The ambiance is good for celebratory dinners for a group or an intimate dinner for two. You can expect to be attended to. The reception is warm. And you feel safe in the space and not rushed. Catlin was our server and she was exceptional! What I enjoy most is if you have special dietary needs, they listen and accommodate as best they can, which in my experience has proven to be above my expectations. I would recommend The Meridian to my friends.

The food was very good. Service was very good. Not much atmosphere in this restaurant. Some very quiet music. Parking lot is very tight. Was forced to use their valet parker even though I could have parked myself. I found that very annoying. The restaurant staff is smug. Their food is good but it is not good enough to warrant this level of smugness. I will choose to go elsewhere in the future.
