Meridian Restaurant and Bar is located in the Meridian Street Historic District on the north side of Indianapolis. Meridian is a fine dining establishment serving innovative American cuisine. Outstanding service and food in every respect. They have the best salmon in Indianapolis or for that matter anywhere in the U.S. It is not inexpensive but remains one of your very favorite restaurants!

We went for my manfriend's birthday. Exactly what I wanted. Something quiet and intimate on a Thursday night. The fireplace was lit and the music was perfect. Our server was very knowledgeable about the new season's menu. Everything looked fantastic, it was hard to choose. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and bottle of wine. I always have such a lovely experience when I come here. Thank you.

We dined here on Christmas Eve. They were very busy but we never felt rushed; our server Roman did an amazing job. We loved the corn puree and pork cheeks entree. The duck had a great flavor but was not as tender as other places. Biggest regret was not getting the bolognese. Desserts were all tasty-I’ll for sure be back!

A nice christmas eve dinner for the two of us. Wishing for mocktail options in the we future. Apple cobbler wasn't available for desert when we ordered.

Not sure what was going on tonight, but it just wasn’t a very good experience. Our server wasn’t very engaged and didn’t make us feel welcome. The food was really off on this visit as well. I’ve been to Meridian a few times and was really let down by the burger and the corn purée, both of which I’ve had in the past and previously enjoyed. We were there to celebrate my birthday, which was noted in the reservation and mentioned at the table, and while it’s not the end of the world that the server didn’t do anything for it or acknowledge it, it would have been nice since it was the reason for the visit. Again, not sure if it was just an off night, but I’d probably go elsewhere for date nights or celebrations in the future.

We had a wonderful time at Meridian for dinner. The ambiance is festive and not too loud. Our server was attentive and friendly. The boar bolognese and burger were delicious.

Meridian is a beautiful place to dine. My meal was good, not great. My husband’s was less than special. The main problem was the menu. If you weren’t a fan of pumpkin, turnip or game, there were few other options. A $30 hamburger, a $51 NY strip, a $41 pork chop. He chose the $49 seared halibut. His only options for a side since he didn’t want pumpkin was mashed or fried potatoes or carrots. No green veggies. It was served with no sauce. Although it was supposed to be glazed, it was very dry and the french fries over fried. I don’t mind spending money on a really great meal but last night’s was not a good value.
