    We ordered the lamb meatballs and they were undercooked. We let our waiter know and she took the plate and came back with the very same plate and told us the chef said that they were done and for some reason let us know that the meatballs were lamb and not ground beef as if we didn’t know what we ordered.. Then our burgers came out super burnt, guessing the chef was trying to be smart.

    This would be an unfortunate experience at any restaurant let alone one like ours that hangs its hat on what we feel is an above-average dining experience. If you have the time, send us an email to timonium@michaelscafe so that we can try to make up for this poor visit. Thanks.

    My wife and I treated a long-time friend who was in Maryland for Christmas. All of us thought the food was excellent. The BBQ Baby Back Rib serving size was ENORMOUS. I took half of them home for another meal. My wife's single crab cake dinner and my friend's Atlantic salmon dinner were just the right size. Our server, Mary, was a gem: friendly and efficient. The only problem we had was our entrees were served - NOT by Mary - well before my wife and I had finished our Soup and Salad, respectively. A closer attention to timing will be appropriate.

The timing of our steps of service is as important to us as any other facet of our dining experience so you are correct closer attention to this is not only appropriate but highly important.     We had a fantastic Christmas dinner with family on Saturday night 12/21/24. Our food was fantastic, our waiter Mark/Marc was witty and good at this job. My Mom gushed about how good her espresso martini was. There were only 2 negatives. For some reason my parents didn't get their soups (the only appetizers for the table), when the entrees came out, we mentioned it to the waiter and they were taken off the bill no issues. Then my son was served an adult burger instead of the kids sliders. It was fine, it was delish, he said it was the #2 burger he ever had. I ate some, and I have to say it's a darn good burger. It was negative because it inflated the bill cost. We will be back, everything was wonderful.
