Serving "inspired cuisine" since 1987, the celebrated Michael’s On East restaurant takes fine dining to another level, offering award-winning cuisine and outstanding service, in an exceptional 1940s supper club atmosphere. Michael's On East has been inducted into Nation's Restaurant News Fine Dining Hall of Fame and recently received their 34th consecutive AAA Four-Diamond Award. The 350+ bottle wine list has been awarded the Best of Award of Excellence by the Wine Spectator!

Upon entering the dining room, you are immediately dazzled by the plush design and inspired décor. The restaurant’s intimate aura, along with its contemporary flare, world-class wine cellar and incomparable service, create an unparalleled dining experience.

Michael's Lounge, complete with a grand piano, is a guest favorite with its signature cocktails and award winning wine selection.

Michael’s Atrium for outdoor dining is a stunning glass-covered, plant-filled courtyard with a beautiful flowing fountain.

    This restaurant is overrated! The service was bad. It took a long time for them to bring our food. They were definitely understaffed. The food was not as good as described in the reviews. Very disappointing experience.

    Seated us in the lounge in a very dark booth with a wobbly table. I guess I should have asked to be reseated but the piano player in the lounge sounded good so I figured what the heck. My bad. The fish entree was not very good. Expected much better food quality for the money. I've had better meals at Applebee's.

    In spite of a glitch in the computer system with the kitchen, our evening was quite delightful. It took a few minutes for our meals to arrive but our server and management were very accommodating. They kept us informed. The meals were nice size portions and very tasty. The lobster bisque was one of the best I have ever had. The bronzina was free of bones and the portion was sufficient for two meals. The Chilean Sea Bass

    We came for the prix fixed Northern Italian dinner. It was so good, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Our server, Tamara, was very nice and friendly.

    Katee provide us with excellent Service. And the food was delicious as always. We opted for the epicurean menu from northern Italy this time around. And we’re not disappointed

    The food and service are exceptional…. as usual. We were seated next to a side door being used by staff and patrons to access the outdoor seating area. Not only was the traffic annoying but every time the door opened, we got a gush of cold air (yes, Sarasota has its cold weather). We mentioned this to Freddie, our server, and within 5 minutes, he moved us to another table. He and the other team members are top notch. The food never disappoints us.

    Excellent night out as always. Michael’s on East is our favorite. We really enjoy their standard menu and the 3 course travel themed menus. Last night our server Tamara was excellent and added to our dining enjoyment. Thank You!
