    Best time ever. Party of 6 very accommodating with our request for outside dining. Food was awesome could not have been better. The courtyard was beautifully decorated with the holiday atmosphere. Always love going there. We will be back. 💗💗💗💗💗💗

    We always love the Mission Inn restaurant where we ate in the central courtyard. We had made reservations 8 months in advance as it was during the festival of lights. However, upon checking in we were informed that a "buffet" was being served. The prime rib and carving table were nice, but the rest of the offerings were somewhat disappointing. The salmon was steamed and soggy, mashed potatoes and roles were plain, etc. It just wasn't up to expectations, especially with the total check being quite high. Last year was much better, and we probably won't be going again next year.

    We did not realize that they would be only offering the buffet on Friday nights during the Festival of Lights but decided to keep our reservation. I wish they would have let us known that that was the only option when making the reservation over a month prior. It is $75 per person and clearly not worth the cost. All of the meats were very dry and lacked flavor. No au jus for the prime rib and it was very fatty. The desserts were disappointing and lacked variety. The cannoli were soggy and cheesecake not firm from sitting out. We will definitely not eat at the dinner buffet in the future. Basically we paid for the ambiance and great service from Hector.

    The Mission Inn is a beautiful place to share a meal with someone special. Unfortunately, the food quality has declined since the owners hired a new management company. We did the holiday buffet at the Mission Inn Restaurant. There was a good selection to choose from. The salad bar was very good. The hot food not so much. Even with the warmers most was cool. Some seemed pre-packaged. For $75 per person not a great food value. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful. The venue is beautiful and historic. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas.

    They had a buffet for the holiday. When we booked the reservation, it did not explain that it was only buffet. The buffet was really not worth the price.

    No indication of buffet only when we made the reservations. The food is so disappointing. Definitely not worth the price.

    The service was fine. At least the food was hot. It was just average and nothing special but it cost a lot. However, it's a spectacular view! It's the only way to sit on that patio & see the holiday lights, fountain, etc. They are stunning! I'd like add that the hotel is beautiful but you can stay at the hotel and go down a block to eat at Tio's Taco shop that has great food for a low price & some great art too.

    The Mission Inn Festival of Lights is so wonderful. We are glad that we had a reservation for dinner because you were not permitted to enter the building unless you showed proof of reservation or room key. Tight security. Lots of people ambling about looking at the lights, kiddos riding on the Ferris wheel and carousel. The place exudes christmas magic. The food is adequate at best. Service was attentive. Decent wine and cocktail list. We went for the atmosphere and were not disappointed.
