Sat upstairs on a Saturday. Don’t do it if you want to have a reasonably quiet convo. So load I couldn’t hear myself speak Also the food comes up warm or cool rather than out of the oven. So sad since their food is great. The wait staff and maitre de were incredible however.

Great experience and atmosphere but the service was definitely not what we were expecting. Huge lag time from ordering to getting cocktail refills, and several request were seemingly forgotten. Status of water bottles was generally ignored all evening. Our desserts were served with no utensils and when we asked for some we were told, “ I’ll be back after I get your water refilled”. Not a good answer when ice cream is involved. On the positive side, all of our meals were outstanding and the atmosphere was wonderful.

We were greeted by friendly hostesses. Got our table right away. the food was exceptional and it was a lovely evening.

The Moderne Barn is about average. Has the same menu for years and the food is ok. I had the scallops which were a little fishy for my taste. My husband had the pork chop which came highly recommended by the waitress - it was ok as well. The hanger steak came out with sauce when we ordered it without and it was good but timing was off. The pasta bolognese was ok. So overall an average food experience in a very noisy environment- though very nicely decorated for Xmas.

Messy service, decent food but not really well prepared and wrong bill. Service kept bumping into my chair despite plenty of room around it for what ever reason. Not the best time at MB.

We have not dined here in a while and were disappointed with the food and service. It took 2 1/2 hours - service was very slow and inattentive.
