Honoring classic French cuisine, Mon Ami Gabi is a traditional French bistro located in the heart of Lincoln Park. Our menu features simple French food including Steak Frites, fresh seafood, exquisite bites, and French rolling wine carts. Valet is located at the corner of Lincoln Park West and Belden for $17 cash or Zelle. During the holiday season, for all parties of 9 or more, we ask our guests to call the restaurant directly to book a reservation.

The Prefect Antidote to 7° Cold Weather A lovely dinner with exemplary staff; a relaxed atmosphere with pitch perfect service. Small but tasty oysters to begin; fresh crunchy “petite salad” followed. And fork-tender beef bourguignon — such a perfect counter weight to a chilly winter’s night. All capped off with a warm apple crisp and a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Magnifique.

Food was outstanding. However, our server, Michael L, wasn't very good. He often ignored us. Did not offer refills on coffee. It was as if we weren't there. But we noticed he was very attentive to the tables around us.

We specifically put that it was a birthday and the hostess put us in the worst seats right by the door. Then, because we were right next to the door we could see the host or manager (a mid 40’s short bald man) mocking us. Disgusting! Would expect more from a nice restaurant

A fabulous meal that was elegantly served in a beautiful restaurant. We all had different dishes and everyone was happy with their choices. The onion soup and steak were outstanding. They split the onion soup into smaller portions if you ask which is nice. My only negative and this is a lettuce thing: they CHARGE YOU $3 IF YOU REQUEST A LARGE ICE CUBE IN YOUR COCKTAIL!!! IN PRINCIPLE ALONE THIS IS WRONG.

Always awesome eating at this restaurant. We’ve been back twice in one week and had the pleasure of Michelle waiting on us both times. It’s our new favorite restaurant. It takes you back to Paris :-)

Beautiful spot for classic French food. Friendly and helpful service, great cocktails and wines (including champagne) by the glass. The baguette is so good that a visiting friend from France told me it was better than any he had ever had there. On this visit we enjoyed briny oysters on the half shell and Caesar salad (salty but divine) before a delicious salmon with lentils and steak frites. Tart Tatin was sublime. I have been going here for years and always had a fantastic meal.

Mon Ami Gabi is one of those increasingly rare restaurants in which adults can have enjoyable conversation surrounded by others seeking the same -- while dining on delicious and thoughtful bistro classics. The bussers here are the best. Don't forget to treat them well.
