Honoring classic French cuisine, Mon Ami Gabi is a traditional French bistro located in the heart of Lincoln Park. Our menu features simple French food including Steak Frites, fresh seafood, exquisite bites, and French rolling wine carts. Valet is located at the corner of Lincoln Park West and Belden for $17 cash or Zelle. During the holiday season, for all parties of 9 or more, we ask our guests to call the restaurant directly to book a reservation.

It’s crazy to think there are only three of these restaurants left in the world. We used to go to the Oak Brook location but now we finally got to visit the one in Chicago. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that this was the original one. It’s a classic French bistro fare with amazing servers and food. I highly recommend the steak and frites! make sure to get your reservation early because we had to dine at 4:45 PM due to later dinner times not being available

The food was excellent as always. However the service wasn't as wonderful. It was a disappointment because I brought my friend for her birthday. She enjoyed herself, but I knew it could be better.

We were there for my birthday last night. We love the ambience the food. They were really packed even though it was a Sunday. I will say our server was a little lackluster, which is unusual. She was personality minus and didn’t come by often enough, we couldn’t, get her when we wanted to order some things. Then it took forever to get half a dozen oysters, which seems kind of crazy. But again everything was delicious as always. I do wish they had a white burgundy that wasn’t $20 a glass. It’s a little outrageous for a French bistro and their California Chardonnay that’s I think only $14 a glass, which is a value anywhere these days, was really bad almost a bitter taste to it. We’ve also been allowed to order oysters individually before, but the server said we couldn’t do it. I really didn’t need half a dozen oysters at my husband doesn’t eat them. It would be great if you could get them individually. When we were there a month or so ago, they did allow us to do that. we will be back though! We love the food we love the ambience!

Consistently wonderful, as usual! Came for one of our traditional birthday dinners. Service, food, friendliness were as excellent as I've come to expect. Jody is a wonderful manager-- she helped me with a wine order from a tasting event the previous week and was able to coordinate the wine delivery with my dinner time. Top notch.
