Serving dinner nightly 5:00-9:00pm. We have a 15 minute grace period. Reservations late beyond these times cannot be guaranteed. If running late or need to cancel we kindly ask that you call us or e-mail us at montaukvail@gmail.com if outside of business hours.

For parties greater than six please call us at the restaurant during business hours or send an email to montaukvail@gmail.com please note our maximum reservation size accepted is 12 guests during peak seasons.

We are a short walk from the Lionshead Parking Structure. Parking is free after 3 p.m. Simply, park in the structure, head West through the main entrance of Lionshead Square. Walk to the corner, turn right and then, left. We are on your right, next door to Bart and Yeti’s. Across from Patagonia, under the iron arches.
Public transit
We are a short walk from two local bus stops which are accessible via the Intown bus or the West Vail Green and Red buses.<br /><br />When coming from the west, get off on the Lionshead/Concert Hall Plaza stop. From the east, get off on the main Lionshead stop.

Overall we had a great experience. We were seated early, the waiter was attentive and other than the halibut being a little over-cooked, the rest of the food was great.

The service was excellent along with the food. It was my second visit here and I loved how the appetizer menu changed to match the seasons. The apples with the Brussels sprouts was a great touch.

I always enjoy eating at Montauk. Seafood might not be your first thought in the mountains, but theirs is always fresh and expertly prepared. Their BBQ Salmon and Miso Glazed Sea Bass are our favorites but they also have several simply grilled dishes as well. Thanks to Rob, the GM, who always takes great care of us, and John, for the great service during our recent dinner.

We sat at a window table outside the bar area. Very nice location. 2 diners had the signature tuna, delicious, as always. One diner opted for a steak - done perfectly lacked tenderness. 2 diners choose the nightly special mussels, Very good but mussels should come with bread, to pay extra was wrong, even though the bread is delicious. Last diner opted for the appetizer ahi tacos - delicious but quite tiny, even for an app.
