    Really a wonderful meal. Great menu, excellent food, fabulous service. My one comment is that they use a lot of ingredients in dishes… not typically Italian style.

    Dined at Monticello for their mid week Prix Fixe menu. Must say it was outstanding experience, as well as a fabulous meal! My Amatriciana pasta was great and the other members of my party had various chicken dishes--all wonderful! Amanda, the hostess and server, did so with a smile and was both friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!!

    I've been coming to Monticello for a long time. The food is and has been excellent each time. Was there Sunday early evening with only a few tables occupied and the noise level was low. Been there on a Saturday evening when it was higher, so Sunday was easier to talk and enjoy.

    Very good food at a neighborhood casual restaurant. Huge menu and BYOB which allows your budget to sample more options. I go here often and our guests are always happy with the experience. Easy vibe.

    The food was outstanding and service was great. Tables were separated by privacy screens but still pretty close together. I liked that they offered a mocktail menu as a BYOB

    Every meal is so well done that it is memorable. Flavors are layered and well thoughtout. There's no talking at the table, just eating.

    I've always been on the fence with this restaurant due to a lack of consistency. Returned last night prior to a show. 2 days per week they offer a 3 course prix fixe which is an excellent value especially since Monticello is a BYOB. Service by Amanda was outstanding and they are lucky to have her back. Overall, food was very good. Regarding consistency, on our last visit, service was less than stellar (waiter had an attitude). We also ordered ice cream with macerated berries for dessert. It was vanilla ice cream with a couple of berries mixed in. Yesterday, dessert was exactly what we were expecting (ice cream, berries on top and whipped cream). My husband's pasta was excellent, the chicken piccata was very good though the taste of lemon was lacking. Starting salads (house and caesar) were very good as well. As far as ambience, Monticello has one of the nicer interiors in Red Bank and they make an effort to muffle the noise. We are looking forward to returning.
