Moonshadows restaurant has set the standard for excellence in Malibu dining since the day it opened it's doors, four decades ago. At Moonshadows guests find themselves immersed in an elegant yet comfortable environment complete with the breathtaking view of the Pacific ocean.

Took my boo for our anniversary. Spectacular ocean views; I recommend scheduling for sunset. We made reservations and arrived early, we had a very short wait to be seated and were immediately offered drinks while we waited. Staff was especially attentive without being overbearing or pushy. I ordered the braised short ribs and boo had the curry tiger shrimp. Both choices were absolutely delicious. The short ribs were fall apart tender. The curry shrimp was sweet and slightly spicy, and although I wouldve prefered a more spicy curry its just a personal preference. Prices were certainly fair if not competitive. I would've paid more for the view alone. Will B returning for sure!!!!!

Amazing seat on patio adjacent to the crashing waves. That part is lovely. The food is serviceable. Waiter upsold our wine bottle without asking/confirming. Had to “split the difference” in price. Great place for a view and fresh air. Simple drinks should be fine. Old school mediocre bar program

Great place to brunch. The ocean view regardless of where you sit is very relaxing along with the sounds of the waves. The staff is professional and attentive. Highly recommend for early brunch or dinner and drinks to view the sunset.

Mila was an excellent server, the food was outstanding for me and my 4 friends, the view can’t be beat, and the Zinfandel they offer by the glass was amazing!

First time dining.. the food was pretty good! Had the octopus.. it was good but the beans.. no. For an Entree I had the PORK CHOP AND OMG IT WAS SO GOOD. Overall… I’d go again .

Thank you Moonshadows for a great dinner night. Everything was amazing. All your staff were great, the food was delicious, and of course the ambiance was amazing. Watching the sunset was an additional bonus.
