The Morcilla team brings contemporary Spanish influenced cuisine to the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Enjoy a mix of pintxos, house made charcutería and large plates meant for sharing from our family-style menu. End your experience with churros and chocolate hazelnut fondue to round out the evening. Our beverage program features craft cocktails, an extensive wine list, a deep sherry and vermut selection and local craft beer. Our dining room is intimate, perfect for celebrating your next special occasion with your favorite person. If you prefer bar seating, the full menu is available there too. We do recommend reservations, but hold a few bar seats for walk-in diners. Refer to www.morcillapittsburgh.com for our current menu.

    Morcilla is my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh because the food is always delicious. I always have the octopus, which has never been disappointing. This time, I tried the gildas, which blended wild anchovies with olives. Really tasty. I had the beef tatar, which everyone In our group thought was one of the best they have had. Lynn's gin and tonic could turn a McDonald's hamburger into a gourmet meal. Like all restaurants these days, the sound level is on the high side, and the ambiance is more like a busy European bistro. The service is attentive, and the dishes come out as they are ready, so nothing has been sitting, waiting to be picked up.

    Having been there before several years ago, I was disappointed in the food - specifically the Iberico shaved ham was dry and tough. However our waitress, Rachel, was a super star - dry attentive and even gave us suggestions for bars in the area.

    The small plates and charcuterie were wonderful. We always love trying a bunch of different things so having a variety of small plates and shareable was a treat! Our server was friendly and very helpful, the atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and the seating was cozy but didn’t feel cramped

    We had a marvelous experience tonight at Morcilla. Starting with our terrific server, Rachel. She was affable, knowledgeable, and attentive. She recommended a delicious red wine from Gaillac that was precisely as she described it, and it was a great value! The food was inventive and delicious starting with the Gildas tapas (anchovies, peppers and olives on a toothpick and baguette slice).. The beef tartare was made to order. The beet salad of with sliced apples and a creamy sauce was excellent. What fun!!
