Moriki is named for its appreciation of nature and healthy energy. Located in Frankfurt, it offers a holistic, natural approach to modern Japanese fusion cuisine. The New York Times named Moriki one of the "25 Places to Go" in 2014, and rightfully so. Talented chefs use fresh, sustainable ingredients that show respect for the grower and the environment. Select from healthy dishes like sashimi, nigiri, miso-glazed Alaskan cod and beef tenderloin that is served with teriyaki sauce and a choice of sides. Moriki's wine and sake list is carefully selected to include vintages that offer rich accompaniments to each entree.

    It is a very elegant Japanese restaurant. Very well located in Frankfurt: just outside the Taunusanlage S-Bahn station, 250 m from the Old Opera House (Alter Oper), not far from the main Shopping Street (Zeil). The food is excellent, at least the Sushi and Sashimi we had: Octopus, salmon, Tuna and Tuna belly, butter fish, etc, very fresh, excellent quality, nicely cut and in good amount. The dessert, a mango pudding with tapioca was also very tasty. The wine options are excellent and with a decent range of prices. We had an excellent Grüner Veltliner. So, for a fancy dinner, everything was excellent, including the attentive service and nice ambiance. I could wish prices were little lower, but fish of quality is, in general, in Germany, very expensive anyway. We will definitely return.
