Welcome to Murray's Restaurant. Minneapolis' original restaurant for steak since 1946 & home of the award winning Silver Butterknife Steak dinner for two. Also known for mouth watering garlic toast, Hickory Smoked shrimp appetizer, and home baked pies. Well into its third generation of family ownership, Murray's stands out among local and out of town diners alike as a true Twin Cities landmark & continues to provide the best in food and service as it did in 1946.

    Disappointed in the food. Sampled 2 different steaks - dinner steak and bone-in ribeye. Neither were special. The hashbrowns were good. Beet salad was over dressed with an lackluster dressing. I expected more considering Murray’s reputation and the price. Very disappointed as this was kind of a special occasion.

    Sensational! Last seating on New Years Eve, we rang in 2025 in this fabulous atmosphere with wonderful food and exceptional service. Great meat and wine list!

    Haven’t been in ages, but the place looks great and the service and food were top notch. Bring $ though. It’s not a casual night out but we loved the evening. So glad they still bring the quality.

    We were celebrating my wife's birthday. We ordered the silver butterknife steak. It was outstanding. The service that we received was top notch as well.

    Joey rocks!! Silver butter knife is hard to beat and the reason we come back over and over again! There was a medical emergency during our visit and it was handled well and had a good outcome.

    It's my favorite restaurant. Always a phenomenal evening at Murray's! They made the holidays extra special, too. Very accommodating to our needs for an earlier reservation as well as an extra seat.
