Whether you’re enjoying our signature braised short rib of beef pie, or starting your meal with our delicate smoked salmon starter, every dish is crafted with an emphasis on taste and quality. Our Head Chef Mo ensures that the kitchen consistently delivers exceptional dishes, using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. And, of course, our Sunday Roast is a must-try. Choose from four delicious roasts, each served with all the traditional trimmings. Not to forget, we offer a kids menu with delicious options for our younger guests. We also offer vegetarian and gluten-free options to suit different dietary needs. When it comes to desserts, we have something for everyone. A rural public house serving local beers, Berkshire gin and ciders, as well as a great wine selection. Bar snacks and full meals available 7 days a week. Cooking over a central grill makes for great theatrical cooking from our open-plan kitchen, overseen by Head Chef Nick Galer. Whilst a subtle Basque feel will permeate throughout, its roots are firmly founded on those of a classic English pub – so while featuring top end Basque dishes fit for a destination dinner, it also offers simple pub snacks for a light lunch… while the food may be inspired by the Basque country, the ingredients are local… and while the wines may be sourced from Iberia, the beer is very much English.The crowning glory is the sensational open kitchen, with a huge, CHARCOAL FIRED parilla grill and a BRICK OVEN as its centrepiece and all in front of the guests – very visual and very theatrical.     We had a fantastic Sunday lunch recently at the Old Boot Inn with a group consisting of 4 adults and 4 children. The playground outside is a massive bonus point. Apart from a minor hiccup with 1 of the kids meals all of the rest was delicious. A lovely, cosy country pub.

    The food was faultless but the service was awful We had to mask for more drinks The bread wasn’t cleared away before we got our starters. We only got 3 or the 4 starters and it was quite a while before the last one came with no apology. The. our main came and they hadn’t cleared the starters and my friend still had her start plate in front of her whilst she was eating her dinner. They came to clear our mains but never asked if we enjoyed it at all through the whole meal All the food was delicious but the service was awful and we didn’t pay the service charge. The staff seemed very disinterested in us and not at all attentive towards us having an enjoyable experience A shame but probably won’t come again
