Venue Restaurant & Lounge is a full-service restaurant in Lincoln, NE. We specialize in affordable quick-service lunches while presenting a fine dining chef-inspired dinner service. Join us and our Executive Chef Geoff Wendland for Lincoln's best steaks, delicious seafood, fresh salads, appetizers, pizzas and more. With desserts prepared by our Pastry Chef Linda Erhart and steaks hand-cut in-house by our butcher Jesse Laney. We also offer Catering and Event Services with a large variety of delicious items for any event from an intimate wedding reception to a glamorous business dinner. We have your event venue covered with our selection of 5 private dining rooms, as well as two downtown ballrooms with the Jasmine Room and the Scottish Rite Ballroom.

The first Oven Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, has been around since 1988 and owned/operated by a dedicated family of chefs who have been creating Indian cuisine for over twenty seven years. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day. The skewers and breads are then placed in the tandoor over an open flame where breads are cooked to perfection and the rich flavors are sealed in to ensure tenderness and quality of the meat. Famous Dave's is in Lincoln, and has a reputation for its award-winning BBQ. It is also popular because of the quality of the ingredients with almost all dishes being made from scratch. Though the menu at Famous Dave's in Lincoln does emphasize the tasty BBQ options, it is not limited just to the famous ribs. There are chicken and pork selections in addition to alternatives like soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers and an array of build your own feasts and combo plates. Kids enjoy a menu of their own and the homemade dessert selections are also one of the reasons for the ongoing success of Famous Dave's in Lincoln.

    Was in town for the Nebraska football game and looking for a place for dinner after the game to allow traffic to settle down before heading for home. Had been here a few times several years back when in Lincoln and decided to return this time. Reservation was easy using the app. Selected the time we wanted for after the game without a problem. Quaint spot just south of downtown. Menu was still varied, with many options and daily specials. Ellie was our server and she was great. Personable, informative, and very friendly. I had the lobter bisque and my wife had a garden salad. Both were tasty. She ordered the seafood platter with salmon, crab cake and trout, served with risotto and asparagus. I had the crab crusted salmon with risotto, spinach and zucchini. Both meals were delicious with large portions. Desserts looked great but, no room after the entrees. Happy hour every day with drink and appetizer specials. We highly recommend this spot for date night, getting together with friends or for just a fun place to go. Thanks to Green Gateau for another good experience and a great meal.

    Well cooked, and interesting dishes. We ordered the duck, and the waitress asked us if we wanted it medium rare, as it should be. When we ordered duck at Dish they didn’t ask how we wanted it cooked, and it came out very overcooked. The tiramisu was among the best I’ve ever had.
