Chapter One is an award-winning Modern European restaurant with 3 AA Rosettes in Orpington, Kent. Following a major refurbishment in early 2019, Chapter One has relaunched with a more modern approach, tempting guests with greater variety and quality.Under the direction of acclaimed chef Andrew McLeish, modern European cooking is available in two formats. In the Restaurant, sophisticated seasonal dishes are served in a refined setting with a weekly changing 3-course Lunch Menu du Jour, a seasonally-inspired 7-course Tasting Menu and an a la carte option. In the more informal Brasserie, a selection of favourites are cooked to perfection with the finest ingredients. Booking for 12pm, but we arrived early. They said they don't start serving until 12pm, we said that's fine and they took orders for drinks. The food took quite a while to turn up, but it was lovely, tasted very fresh. Cooked well. They forgot asparagus came with meal, but it came quickly afterwards. They apologised and said it was a new menu, which was fine. Rest of meal was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Just had a wonderful anniversary lunch at Chapter One today! The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect for our special day. The staff was super friendly and made everything feel extra special. We’ll definitely be back in a few months! Highly recommend!
