Akbar's established in 1995 with 12 branches in the UK now opens it's doors in Blackburn with the most vibrant interior design located at King Georges' Hall. Authentic curry at it's best open from 5pm Monday to Sunday. Come and try our signature lamb chops, karahi dishes, giant nan bread and a very carefully selected choice of wines, beer and spirits. We opened our first restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester in 2004 with a clear aim: To deliver quality food to local customers at a reasonable price in a sharp, modern space with friendly, unpretentious service. We have pursued that goal ever since and it has earned us many loyal customers. Our menu is probably classed as British with some additional favourites from Italy and around the globe. Albert's Worsley provides a slick, modern space with dining for 180 guests inside and features a fabulous outside dining terrace for 60.The restaurant is open Tuesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner, Saturday and Sunday are also open for breakfast.

Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.     From the moment we were greeted, to the moment we left the staff were friendly, helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, the ambience was lovely and value for money was good. We will definitely be be back.

    Arrived !! The bar was really busy due to private party in the upstairs area , Shown straight to our table without asking would we like drinks in the bar .. had to ask for the wine list , when the wine arrived it was put on the table , with the twist top!! Never asked if we would like to taste !! However our choice of food was delicious!! We both had lamb shank , our desserts were also fabulous .. so compliments to the chef & kitchen team The DJ although great felt like we were at an Ibiza beach club , maybe next time we should check the music ambience , last time we came Ella Shaw was singing and it was perfect for the venue .. The staff are lovely and friendly maybe just tweak the finer things of service ..
