Manalu is a new authentic Italian restaurant by Chef/Owner Marco Pontecorvo. The name was to combine all three of his family members names. MA for Marco, NA for Naomi, his daughter, and LU for Lucia, his wife. Manalu's goal is to bring a taste of Italy and a touch of Naples in the town, by serving authentic Italian cuisine and the original pizza Napoletana cooked in a brick oven. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm, perfect for family and friends. Manalu` also has a full bar and happy hour Mon-Fri from 4pm to 7pm. Chef Bryan Voltaggio found inspiration in a former Frederick car dealership showroom and transformed it into an open, airy space, with a long counter fronting an open kitchen serving modern American casual meals. Showroom serves Brunch seven days a week from 8am until 4pm and Dinner until 9pm Sunday through Thursday and 9pm Friday & Saturday. Adult beverages include boozy milkshakes, craft beers, wine, & signature cocktails.     My girlfriend and I celebrated our third anniversary at Monocacy Crossing, and it sure did not disappoint! We loved the Christmas decorations, the food was delivered timely while tasting great, and we appreciated the note on the table honoring our milestone 😀

    We had a terrific lunch in a beautiful restaurant. Our food was just great. My cauliflower soup with gorganzala and grain salad were particularly great.

    A wonderful way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The fried green tomatoes are incredible, same for the tempura lobster appetizer. My wife had the scallops/shrimp dish snd I went for the French dip, both super yummy! Then crème brûlée for dessert, wow, just wow. Bonus just fifteen minutes away is the wonderful Happy Hounds Lodge where the pups played while we dined in peace.

    The best dining experience we have ever had. The creativity of ingredients, their preparation, and their presentation, combined with exceptional team service produced an impeccable dining experience. Interacting with various team members, each with their own perspectives on the food, its preparation, and the venue, elevated our dining experience. Excellent pacing on the 9 course menu, as well. The care taken in spacing the tables also allowed us to enjoy our own quiet conversations and the sense of having a wonderful collective experience without overhearing the conversations of the other tables. This experience hit all the marks.
