An iconic restaurant celebrating 25 years in the heart of Oregon Wine Country. Please call the restaurant directly for reservations for parties greater than 5 guests. Enjoy dining in our art filled main dining room and open kitchen. Brunch every Sunday 11-3. Weather permitting, alfresco dining on our shaded patio is very popular. Our emphasis is on preparing and presenting dishes reflecting the highest culinary sophistication accompanied by wines and wine service of comparable excellence. Expect full-service refined dining in a warm and friendly atmosphere welcoming tourists, local residents and winemakers. Dishes are house made, from pasta to soups, sauces and desserts, using fresh and high quality ingredients, including our own Italian extra virgin olive oil. Semi-private dining for groups available. Visit us on Ribbon Ridge, where we have something for everyone!At Trisaetum Winery, we specialize in Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay and Sparkling Wines. Daily, we offer a selection of flights, each with five wines you can enjoy in our art gallery tasting room or out on our covered patio. The tasting fee is $45-50 per person and fees are waived with a minimum purchase.We are also home to Brixeur Spirits, which was started by the team at Trisaetum in 2020. With vodka distilled from estate grapes, gins with locally foraged botanicals, and whiskeys aged in a mix of used Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Riesling casks, our approach to the distillation and aging of spirits is heavily influenced by our winemaking roots. Spirits tastings are offered in the cottage on weekends, and in the wine tasting room daily upon request. Mushrooms are the heart of what we do at the Joel Palmer House. We have always endeavored to obtain seasonal and local ingredients and we use many locally produced greens, herbs, and vegetables, some of which come from our own culinary garden. We are frequently inspired by ingredients found in the cuisines of France, China, Thailand, Poland and India, so we call our cooking "freestyle." Our dishes pair well the celebrated wines of Oregon, especially Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Our extensive, Oregon-focused wine list has been awarded the Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. Of special note, The Joel Palmer House ranks as one of Oregon's finest historic homes and is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Oregon Historic Register. Built in 1857, the house is Dayton's oldest standing structure. When weather permits, guests can enjoy their dinner on our outdoor patio, soaking in the last rays of sunshine in the heart of Oregon Wine Country.

    Twice a year some old friends from Chicago visit their son & his family in Portland, and we always meet halfway (I live in Newport) for lunch while they're in Oregon. Over the years we've gone to many of the fine vineyards & restaurants in the wine country but always gravitate back around to Dundee Bistro, not only for its fine cuisine but also for its stylish yet comfortable ambience, its seating options (we like to be outdoors in summer, by the fireplace in winter), and its attentive but never intrusive service.

    Our absolute favorite restaurant! Brought my brother here and he was amazed by the food too. Hands down best Italian food and love the fresh pasta! Our waiter was so friendly and nice and love the atmoshpere. We all loved every dish we got and can’t wait to go back!

    A lovely and quaint bistro in Carlton! The wine selections were all local (in fact, the winemaker of the wine we chose was there for dinner the same evening)! The chef comes around and chats with his customers in a kind and fun manner. And the FOOD! Absolutely delicious! Perfectly prepared and timed beautifully!
