Welcome to your friend neighborhood bar and sandwich shop. Tucked away on Lafayette Park, just a block from the downtown and seaport neighborhoods of Salem, MA, The Babe is the perfect place to rendezvous after work for a cocktail, grab a bite with friends, or get together for a late night celebration. We take pride in our scratch kitchen with a menu inspired by Northeast sandwich culture and cuisine; touching on fan favorites from Philly to NY, and of course, Boston! Our menu includes specialties like house-ground cheese burgers, loaded Italian subs with freshly sliced salumi, crispy and cheesy mozzarella pockets, crispy wings, and more.     Came here for a date night at the behest of serval people. My expectations were high after so many recommendations and Daniella's delivered! Portions were generous and delicious, the atmosphere was lively but not too loud, and our server was clearly very busy but still attentive and kind. Wonderful spot - we will definitely be returning.

    My group of 4 had a reservation for a birthday dinner at 7:15. The hostess was very apologetic when they could not seat us right away as a previous table was not leaving. We ended up having to wait for our table for 35 minutes. In the mean time we got a drink at the bar. Everyone from the hostess to the wait staff to the sommelier was very apologetic but we didn't mind. Everyone more than made up for our wait with complementary appetizer and a drink. Our birthday celebration was great and all of the food and drink was phenomenal. The sommelier Scott spent extra time with us when we had questions about the wine and was very kind and informative! We will be returning soon!

    Our server Teddy was top notch. He had a great personality and was very professional. He knew the menu and very thoughtful recognizing my wife’s birthday along with the rest of the staff. We have a very nice table and could not have asked for a better dining experience. Thank you Pellana’s. We will be back!

    I love their Chopped salad, Nonna's sauce, Chicken Piccata BUT, today I ordered their Pork Chop and was seriously disappointed. I might as well have ordered a bowl of Rosemary Spice because that's the only flavor you get with every bite. Totally overspiced, you don't even taste anything else. The waiter comped us the Cannoli, which was nice, but to pay $44 for a pork chop I couldn't stomach was , as I said, disappointing.
