We are a European style restaurant and winery. Family owned business where we make our own wine and gourmet food. Our restaurant is nestled on a two acre lot next to Fountain Creek, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Additionally we are available to cater events and special occasions. The Golden Bee originally came to The Broadmoor in 1961 as a collection of panels and fixtures from a 19th century English pub. Red Gravy offers upscale casual modern Italian fare.Chef/Owner Eric Brenner spent his first decade in the industry inside Italian kitchens. Talking up St. Louis' wide-ranging Italian eatery scene, which gets as specific as regional specialties, he says he's wanted to have a place like this since he was 18."We're going to start very simple and accessible," he says, "we'll play to the crowd and start a dialogue, then grow the menu with community input.""Simple," includes dishes like his tomato bisque, with which only has five ingredients. "It's all about the perfect balance. And that gets back to the essence of good Italian food: quality ingredients, very few, in perfect balance." Other examples include his St. Louis-style, thin-crust pizza, best compared to a flat-bread.

    Our experience here was pure magic at Christmastime. Service, ambience, food all wonderful. We will definitely be coming back. Looking forward to dining there in the summertime near the beautiful lake!

    La Taverne at The Broadmoor Hotel is great for an upscale but casual evening out. We celebrated our anniversary there, and it was a special evening. There was a singer/guitarist entertaining guests with Christmas music at just the right volume. The entree selection was varied, and the food was very good. I would say it was not exceptional, but definitely very good. The service, though, was truly exceptional. Highly recommend for an overall lovely experience. Be sure to stroll through the hotel and grounds before or after, especially during the Christmas season.

    Great food and ambiance, but the service is what sets this place apart. Michael is the best server we’ve ever had anywhere, and I’m not exaggerating. He’s friendly, knowledgeable and doesn’t miss a thing. Thank you for always making sure we have a fabulous experience, Michael! You’re a gem!

    Our server was awesome. We felt like we were the only table he was taking care of, he was attentive, yet gave us plenty of space to enjoy our food. The hostess recommended a wine and we ended up not only drinking that wine but buying two bottles to bring home Everything, food, service, ambience, was outstanding!

    Part of the Broadmoor, you can count on rather pricey food so that is a given. But the food was REALLY good. We ate lunch here on a cold day in November. I recommend the BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp small plate which I had as my entree, my husbands Vidalia onion rings were outstanding and there was more than enough for the 3 of us. My son loved his boar nachos. Great service, lovely location.
